	Carnivorous Plants As a huge fan of carnivorous plants I like to visit botanical gardens and go on field trips to see them. This is when I took quite a few nice images. This particular image shows the leaf (and not the flower) of an American pitcher plant: Sarracenia leucophylla.
	Brocken The tallest mountain of the German state of Sachsen-Anhalt in the fall.
	Devil's Tower I took this photograph on my 1998 trip through the west of the United States. It shows the Devil's Tower National Monument at nightfall with the sun setting right behind it.
	Chicago 1997 I spent time in Chicago and found this beautiful old bridge that was not operational anymore but yielded a very scenic view over the skyline of the city.
	Camel 1996 in Egypt: a shadow cast by my means of transportation. Even then I was already fascinated by silhouettes.
	Desert 1996 in Egypt: on a desert trip an the Sinai peninsula where you could find amazingly colored sediments in the Colored Canyon.
