The graphics on my pages have been created with the computer program that I wrote for my Diplom thesis. For the image at the upper left corner additional speedlines have been created which Ronny Schulz had developed in his Diplom thesis and about which there also has been a short paper at SIGGRAPH 1999! Bert Vehmeier, a former student of mine was so kind to create a line drawing version of a picture of me.

The hatched drawing of the pitcher of a Sarracenia alata plant was generated using OpenNPAR, a system for creating non-photorealistic renditions. The algorithm employed for creating such high quality hatched images was conceived by Johannes Zander in collaboration with myself, Stefan Schlechtweg, and Thomas Strothotte and will be presented at Eurographics 2004. The 3D model was created by my girl-friend Petra Neumann and is based upon a plant at the Gruson greenhouses in Magdeburg.
