Comments:

During my first visit here there was not much to see in terms of carnivorous plants. In the meantime I was lucky to become a volunteer here at the Calgary Zoo and have been working to improve this situation. With some success, I can say. ;-) Now there are tree species of Drosera on display (Drosera binata, Drosera capensis (red and white variant), and one species I have not been able to identify, yet), (probably) two species of Sarracenia (Sarracenia leucophylla and an unknown other one), and of course Dionaea muscipula. There are also two Nepenthes to see in a different greenhouse. We are also working on getting more plants, so if you get a chance check out the display.
